Council elections 2018
We are seeking nominations for election to the CITMA Council for the period 2018-2020.
The CITMA Council meets six times a year. It oversees and makes decisions on the business of CITMA.
All Corporate members (Ordinary, Fellow and Corporate Honorary) of CITMA are eligible to stand for election to Council.
Nominations are now open. To stand you must complete and return the nomination form before the deadline of Tuesday 27th February 2018.

If the number of valid nominations received exceeds the number of places available, then a vote will be required. Voting is due to open on Monday 5th March 2018.

The following Council Members shall retire at the Annual General Meeting on 28th March 2018 but are available for re-election for a further term in accordance with Bye-Law 64 and 65:
- Oscar Benito
- Tania Clark
- Kelly Clarke
- Richard Goddard
- Keith Havelock
- Natasha Hinds-Payne
- Chris McLeod
- Maggie Ramage
- Rachel Wilkinson-Duffy
- Imogen Wiseman
- Aaron Wood
The following Council members are due to retire but have indicated they do not wish to stand for re-election:
- Philip Harris
- Mark Hiddleston
- Clare Jackman
We are grateful to them for their time and effort on Council and thank them for all their support.
The following Council members were co-opted to Council to fill a vacancy during the previous term in accordance with Bye-Law 73 and are therefore available for election:
- Sanjay Kapur
In accordance with Bye-Law 65 the current President, Kate O’Rourke, will cease to hold office as President and will automatically become the Immediate Past-President and entitled to serve on the Council for a further two years. Kate therefore does not need to be nominated.
The following Council members were elected in 2017 for a two year period and are due to continue in office for a further period and also do not need to be nominated:
- Mark Bearfoot
- Mike Lynd
- Alison Melling
- Catherine Wolfe
It has been agreed that for operational reasons Council will not exceed 20 elected places.
The results of the election will be announced at the CITMA Annual General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday 28th March 2018.
