Join the Faculty of Advocates as they host their World IP Day.
The day aims to raise awareness of the impact IP has on daily life, to teach about how IP protection promotes creativity and innovation and to celebrate the contribution of creativity and innovation to society.
This is an opportunity to celebrate IP in general and to reinforce the importance of IP to Scotland and the UK, and why it needs to be respected and protected. And we have a new UK IP Minister, Chris Skidmore MP.
This free event will once again be chaired by Roisin Higgins QC, Advocate and IP law specialist and Graeme McWilliams, Legal Counsel, Standard Life Assurance Legal. Our speakers this year include Susan Ferguson-Snedden, Head of Legal and Compliance at Historic Environment Scotland.
This conference is open to all solicitors, advocates, trainees, devils, students, and any other professionals with an interest in IP, and is an excellent networking opportunity.
