Johnson continues as Minister for IP

28 June 2017

Jo Johnson MP will continue as UK Minister for Intellectual Property, after the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) ministerial portfolios were confirmed this week.

Intellectual property forms part of Mr Johnson’s role as Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation. A position he was appointed to earlier this year.

Alongside intellectual property his role includes industrial strategy, universities and higher education reform, and science and research.

CITMA met with the minister earlier this year, and our President Kate O’Rourke spoke on a panel with Mr Johnson at the India-UK TECH Summit in New Dehli last year.

Jo Johnson is MP for Orpington, and was re-elected at the recent General Election.
