Tackling racial injustice and increasing BAME representation in the profession are just a few ways we can create a more diverse and inclusive future.

Earlier this year, support group IP&ME rallied IP professionals from all over the UK to review representation and its support for BAME professionals.

IP Inclusive has published its official BAME roundtable outcomes.

The 14-page document highlights how organisations, firms and individuals in the sector can make a difference.

It includes steps to:

  • Increase BAME representation levels in the IP sector
  • Improve BAME visibility in the IP sector
  • Provide more support to BAME professionals
  • Stop unconscious bias
  • Monitor and maintain progress

It is essential that everyone reads and takes on board the suggested steps in order for us to generate change.

Our Diversity and Inclusion working group is now reviewing the suggested steps to underline where we can make a positive impact.

We are committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive future for everyone - no matter their background.
