About you
We are seeking a capable, self-motivated, Trade Mark Attorney to lead and grow our trade mark team. This person will become a valued member of the team, who aligns with the ethos of the firm and is willing to join in and work collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years PQE and an interest in developing the team. They will have a practice of their own to complement the existing client base of IP Asset.
You will join a friendly close-knit team and be the principal point of contact for all clients when it comes to their brand protection.
What you will do:
- Advise on Trade Mark and Design Portfolio Management for a variety of clients in different sectors including drafting, filing and prosecuting trade mark applications worldwide
- Advise on pre-filing trade mark clearance searching projects
- Draft and advise on coexistence and settlement agreements
- Handle UK and foreign trade mark oppositions
- Advising on assignments and license agreements
- Contentious matters including advice on trade mark infringement, litigation and passing off
- Keep up to date with developing case law and contribute to internal CPD discussions
Ideally this position will be full time but we are open to considering other options. As a company we support flexible and hybrid working and ask for at least 2 days a week attendance in the office. There are opportunities to spend time in either of our Oxford or London offices. We would prefer this role to be Oxford based.
