I am involved in all aspects of trade mark practice, including devising brand clearance strategies and advising on filing and prosecuting trade mark applications worldwide. I am also experienced in UK and EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) opposition proceedings and also regularly advises on trade mark infringement.
I have successfully obtained registration of a number of particularly troublesome marks and have a good record of overcoming inherent objections at the national and European Union level. I often advise on international trade mark disputes and favour a pragmatic and commercial approach to settlement.
My other areas of involvement include advising on comparative advertising, the risks of genercism and brand dilution. I have also been involved with providing in-house training to clients on brand protection and enforcement.
