IP Support are working exclusively with a growing and forward-thinking firm who are looking to appoint a Trade Mark Paralegal.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TM paralegal who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership, and helping shape how a department operates.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of the trade mark function, working closely with fee earners and the wider firm. While this is a paralegal position, there is genuine scope to be involved in refining systems, processes, and client care standards.

Please note: this role is not a trainee or training-contract pathway at this stage, and applicants should be comfortable with that.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing trade mark portfolios, including filings, renewals, and recordals
  • Preparing and filing UK, EU and international trade mark applications
  • Handling correspondence with clients, agents, and official bodies
  • Monitoring deadlines and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of internal TM systems and processes
  • Supporting improvements to client care procedures and workflows

The ideal candidate

  • Proven experience working as a Trade Mark Paralegal (or equivalent TM support role)
  • Solid understanding of trade mark procedures and deadlines
  • Confident, organised, and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative
  • Interested in helping to build and structure a department, not just maintain one
  • Realistic and professional in their expectations around progression in the short term
  • Have experience working in a UK-based attorney practice
  • Must be UK-based and be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
