The Hague System, administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is a way of filing a design in multiple jurisdictions with one application. It will now enable users to choose design protection in Canada for international applications.

Canada will become the 55th member of the Hague Agreement and 69th member of the Hague Union. WIPO is part of the United Nations based in Geneva.

The UK joined the system earlier this year.
