My core area of expertise is trade mark and design protection and prosecution, including trade mark clearances, certification and collective marks, oppositions, assignments, cancellations and invalidations. I have significant experience in developing trade mark protection strategies for clients, from large international organisations to SMEs, small family firms and individuals, and I enjoy the variety of work that offers. I take a proactive approach but with a sensible, long term view, ensuring clients achieve the level of protection they need for their business. I routinely represents clients in opposition work before the UKIPO and the EUIPO. I commenced my career in trade marks by working in London for the UK IPO as a search room assistant and hearings clerk, before moving into private practice at a large UK firm and subsequently qualify at a boutique international firm specialising in trade mark protection and anti-counterfeiting.
