Sean regularly advises clients on trade mark registrability, protection and enforcement at a UK, EU and International level and has been extensively involved in the coordination of multinational filings and management of global trade mark portfolios. He is particularly adept at overcoming distinctiveness refusals, holding a high record of success in registering “difficult” trade marks through the submission of written arguments and attendance at UK IPO hearings. Sean also represents clients in contentious matters including trade mark opposition, cancellation and invalidity actions before the UK IPO and EU IPO.
