Do networking events feel a little intimidating, or like you’re not getting as much out of them as you could? You’re not alone. Networking plays a powerful role in both personal and professional growth, and connecting with peers from across the IP sector can open doors to invaluable support and insight.
The IP Inclusive Business Support Professionals working group is hosting a friendly, confidence‑building networking session designed to help you get more from these opportunities. It'll start with a short, practical introduction to networking theory - complete with simple, actionable tips - before putting those ideas into practice over a relaxed breakfast buffet.
Michael Evans, Founder of BDforIP, will be on hand to answer your questions, share his expertise, and offer his top techniques for effective, authentic networking. He will speak about the importance of business networking and of developing soft skills as you progress your career. Michael is a business development coach/mentor who works together with patent and trade mark professionals, helping them with different aspects including new business development, client management including client retention, how to identify client growth and how best to maintain relationships with new contacts throughout the year.
