I graduated in 1986 from University College, London with a first class honours degree in chemistry and in 1990 obtained a PhD in mechanistic organic chemistry, also from UCL, and joined Bromhead & Co. I was awarded a Centenary Bursary from the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents in 1990, and in 1991 obtained the Certificate of intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. I qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney in 1992, a European Patent Attorney in 1993, a Chartered Patent Attorney in 1994 and a Chartered Chemist in 1995. More recently I have become a Patent & Trade Mark Litigator. I became a partner of Bromhead & Co. in 1995, and a founding partner of Bromhead Johnson in 2004 of which Johnsons is the Scottish part. I handle trade mark prosecution and infringement. As part of this I manage worldwide trade mark portfolios for clients including managing litigation in diverse jurisdiction. I am a member of INTA.
