Our speaker

Michael Cashman (Baron Cashman of Limehouse) has been one of the leading campaigners for LGBTQ+ rights in the UK of his generation.

Born and raised in the East End of London, Michael had a highly successful career as an actor, singer, writer and director.

He was then a Labour politician and was an MEP from 1999 to 2014 and now sits in the House of Lords. He was founding Chair of the Stonewall Group. He recently published his memoir “One of Them”.
