Run by the renowned blog IPKat, the IP book of the year awards recognise the contribution to IP literature across the year.

In the greatly expanded Contentious Trade Mark Registry Proceedings 2nd Edition Michael Edenborough KC aims to provide a comprehensive introduction for new practitioners to the practice and procedure before the UK registry for contested ex parte and inter partes matters; and, to give detailed guidance to established practitioners on the more rarified issues that may arise in a fully disputed matter.

The book was shortlisted alongside seven other titles, including the winner in the trade mark law category EU Trade Mark Law and Product Protection: A Comparative Analysis of Trade Mark Functionality (Routledge) by Lavinia Brancusi.

The awards also bestowed honours for the best patent law, best copyright law and best design law books, as well as a prize for the Intellectual Property Law Book of the Year.

This year was the most popular in terms of vote numbers since the awards’ inception six years ago. Readers of IPKat were invited to submit nominations for their favourite book in each category.

Contentious Trade Mark Registry Proceedings 2nd Edition is available exclusively via the CITMA website. CITMA members receive a 10% discount on the full price.

There are further discounts available for firms or individuals buying five or more copies.
