CITMA NEWS & UPDATES
President’s welcome
It was fantastic to see so many of you recently at our Spring Conference, and what better way to catch up than in the beautiful setting of the Sky Garden for our inaugural Spring Party? It was truly a memorable couple of days.
Looking ahead, I want to take a moment to note that June is Pride month – a time for celebrating progress, diversity and inclusion. It’s incredibly important that we work towards creating a more inclusive and diverse profession, not just in June, but all year round. If you’re looking for ways that you can support your IP colleagues and be an ally, please explore some of the brilliant resources from IP Inclusive and those mentioned in our cover story.
I’m also excited to be heading to Leeds in June for our first-ever Summer Seminar. This event has everything you could want – a selection of top-tier speakers and plenty of opportunities to catch up with fellow professionals, including a late-afternoon drinks reception. I hope to see many of you there.
Additionally, we’ll be launching our Paralegal Course for 2025/26 in June. We welcome applications from those with a minimum of 18 months’ experience in trade mark administration and formalities. If you are interested in undertaking the course, our introductory, on-demand courses can be a great stepping stone in progressing your career.
Finally, as many of you will be aware, we recently held the CITMA Council election for 2025–2027. Congratulations to all continuing and newly elected Council members.
