Gail Nicol: Your new Student Rep
We are delighted to welcome Gail Nicol into the role of Student Representative, following her recent selection.

Gail succeeds Eve Brown, who held the post since April 2020.
Following a successful career as a CITMA Paralegal, including winning Best Trade Mark Paralegal at the 2021 National Paralegal Awards, Gail made the decision to train as a Trade Mark Attorney.
She is now completing the TM Law and Practice course at Queen Mary University, alongside her work at Cameron IP in Glasgow.
Gail said: “I’m delighted to have been elected as the Student Representative for 2022-24 and am ready to listen to and support CITMA’s Student members to ensure that any issues or concerns they may have are adequately addressed.
"During my time as an observer to Council I’d like to see a greater focus on helping and mentoring of students as they progress through their studies towards qualification.
“I’d also like to see an increased awareness of the CITMA Student member’s hub, and to encourage students to engage with the content and resources which are made available for them.
“If there is a topic that you would like to see CITMA to cover on the hub, or information that you feel would be useful to be shared, please do get in touch and let me know.
“For me, it is a huge privilege to have the opportunity to sit on Council and to contribute to discussions surrounding policy and practice.
“It is my aim to be the voice of the student body so please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is any issue which you would like me to raise, or any help that I can provide.
