Meet the speaker

Sarah Cosgriff (she/they) is an asexual activist working in science communication and education. She raises awareness of asexual experiences through social media campaigns and engaging talks and co-founded Aces in STEM, an internationally reaching online space for individuals on the asexual-spectrum who work or study STEM subjects. They also produce and present on the podcast Queer Cuz which highlights the experiences of LGBTQ+ Filipinos.

Sarah’s work was recognised by the National Diversity Awards in 2022 by being shortlisted for the Positive Role Model Award – LGBT.

This event will include descriptions of discrimination towards asexual people, including within medical settings, and experiences of racism. Conversion therapy will be mentioned but will not be described in depth.
