It’s accredited by Mental Health First Aid England and entitles you to three years of MHFAer support afterwards.

About MHFA training

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally-recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of poor mental health and provide help to someone who may need it.

MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.

The new course

The new course launched in September 2022 gives learners three years’ access to the MHFAider Support App® and ongoing learning and resources.

With access to MHFAider® Support and Benefits, training doesn’t stop when the course comes to an end.

We provide continuous support for MHFAers – well beyond initial certification – so you can feel confident, empowered and motivated to carry out your role.
