Free advice clinics
We run free trade mark advice clinics every month in London.
Whether you're just starting in business or are already in the marketplace, you may not be aware of the importance of trade marks to your business success.
We have set up a programme of regular clinics where you can get free advice from fully qualified professionals, who will offer advice on protecting your trade marks and avoiding infringement.
Six clinics are held every second Thursday of the month, except in August and December at the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), 1st floor, 4 Abbey Orchard Street, London SW1P 2HT between 5pm and 6.30pm.
Clinics are free of charge but it you do not attend your appointment you will be sent an invoice and asked to pay a fee of £50.
Each appointment lasts 30 minutes and offers you the chance to learn more about trade marks and discuss your individual trade mark needs with a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.
Please note that appointments are offered strictly on the basis that only one clinic can be attended for the same topic. The matter under consideration must be new (i.e. professional advice must not have been previously sought from a member of CITMA), and it is not possible for paperwork to be viewed prior to the clinic.
Bookings can be made online, the links top the next available clinics are at the bottom of this page.
You might also be interested in using our public search tool to find a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney who will be able to offer you advice on trade mark and design matters.
Many of our members offer free advice for a limited period of time - please check this with them prior to discussing your matter.
