Beck Greener is one of the leading intellectual property firms in London, and one of the longest-established, having recently celebrated our 150th Anniversary. We provide advice, information and assistance relating to all aspects of registered and unregistered intellectual property, including patents, trade marks, designs and copyright.
Our experience and expertise in trade marks is recognised by the industry. The firm is amongst the top filers of UK and EU Trade Mark Applications in the country, and ranked number 2 for appearances at oral hearings before the UK Intellectual Property Office and the Appointed Person over the last five years. In addition, partners Ian Bartlett and Rowland Buehrlen both appear in the Top 10 of the list of trade mark attorneys and solicitors by appearance at such hearings (Source: CITMA Review, Issue 438, December 2017/January 2018 and Issue 442 June 2018).
The firm’s main office is based in London, though we also have an office in Alicante, Spain, to ensure that whatever happens with the current Brexit negotiations, we can continue to provide our full range of services relating to European Union Trade Marks and Designs post-Brexit.
The trade mark department works with clients across a number of commercial sectors and of various sizes. We represent large multinationals and internationally famous brands, alongside small businesses and sole traders, in fields as diverse as telecommunications, publishing, luxury goods, professional services, TV production, medical devices, fashion, household appliances, haircare, financial services and retail. Regardless of clients’ size or field of business, the firm is adept at meeting their specific needs, and providing a tailored service to accommodate their requirements.
Intellectual Property protection is of paramount importance to any business. We do much more than simply protect and register trade marks. Our legal and technical skills, alongside years of experience, enable us to guide you from initial concepts to commercial success. We are concerned not just with legal advice but also with commercial relevance, ensuring that our clients use our services to make maximum impact in the marketplace.
Most of the Registered Trade Mark Attorneys at the firm hold law degrees, and many also qualified as solicitors or barristers. This legal background, and the presence of IP Litigators in the firm, allows us to provide clients with the focussed, robust legal advice they need to be able to grow and maintain their brands effectively, and has given us an enviable record before both the British and European trade mark offices, and the courts.
Further, often with the assistance of firms of foreign attorneys, we file and prosecute cases abroad.
